Salsa 4 Seniors dance classes

Inner West Council’s activities for seniors are expanding to include Salsa 4 Senior classes.

Council’s extensive seniors program provides local older people with inexpensive ways to stay young at heart, stimulated, busy - and out of the house.

Most activities are either free or very low cost.

Only around one in 10 Australians over the age of 50 exercises enough to gain any cardiovascular benefit. Some estimates suggest that about half of the physical decline associated with old age may be due to a lack of physical activity.

Salsa 4 Seniors is an opportunity to improve physical and mental health, and enhance seniors’ social lives, in a fun and rewarding dance program.

Over eight weeks, inner west seniors will learn to dance basic Salsa to great music, awaken the mind, increase overall fitness level, and connect with dance partners.

Salsa 4 Seniors dance classes: Wednesday 19 October - Wednesday 7 December (eight week block), Petersham Town Hall, 107 Crystal Street Petersham, 2pm – 4pm. To register, call 9335 2143.
