Venues for hire

In line with NSW Health restrictions density limits are currently at 2m2. Dancing is restricted to teacher and student only. Speak to our Community Venues team for further information or visit NSW Health website to view the latest guidelines and restrictions.

The Inner West has many indoor and outdoor spaces available for hire including large halls, community centres, meeting rooms, parks and sporting grounds.  Check details below to browse through the spaces and how to book online. 

Using Council's instant book system  

How to make a booking for the first time and set up an account

From the home screen on the Council website, go to 'Find a venue, park or sporting ground' to be taken to the venues for hire page.

You will then be able to review Council's venues under their respective categories

  • Community centres
  • Meeting rooms
  • Rooms and small halls
  • Town halls

At the bottom of each venue's respective information page there is an 'Instant book' tab that will take you to the booking system.

From here you will be able to make a provisional booking request for your preferred event date and upload your documents.

Cancelling a booking

Log in to your account and go to 'My Bookings', and for the relevant booking, click on 'Manage'.

Once in the booking, click on the "Request Cancellation" tab on the top right or bottom of the booking.
