Applications open for Chrissie Cotter Gallery and ArtSeat 2017

Inner West Council is inviting local artists to submit ideas for the exhibition of artworks at the Newtown ArtSeat and Chrissie Cotter Gallery in 2017.

Council’s award-winning ArtSeat is a permanent structure located in Newtown Square that provides local, emerging and established artists a space where experimental and non-commercial art can be showcased. Incorporating public seating and lighting, the Art Seat is also a landmark meeting point in Newtown.

The Newtown ArtSeat is an initiative of Inner West Council, with support from Arts NSW and the City of Sydney.

Council’s Chrissie Cotter Gallery is a free gallery space available to emerging and established Marrickville artists.

Applications for the 2017 programs at both the ArtSeat and the Chrissie Cotter Gallery close on Wednesday 5 October.
