JP services

Council's JP services are currently suspended until further notice

A Justice of the Peace (JP) service is available at the places listed below.

JPs in New South Wales are able to:

  • Witness the signing of a statutory declaration
  • Witness the signing of an affidavit
  • Certify that a copy of an original document is a true copy.

Please note that this service cannot be guaranteed at all times as it is dependent on the availability of JP staff. We advise you phone first to check that staff with JP credentials will be available on the day.

To ensure we service all of our customers in a timely manner, we ask that you present no more than 6 documents at any one time.

Please also be aware that JPs do not have access to photocopying/printing facilities. If you require certification of copies of original documents, you must bring the originals and copies with you.

Some local chemists also offer this service.
