Council has an obligation to protect the privacy of site users. This statement describes what information is collected, and why.

Statistical information

If you visit the Inner West Council site to read or download information, the following will be recorded for statistical purposes:

The above information is used to create summary statistics which allow us to assess the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, discover what information is most and least used, determine technical design specifications, and help us make our site more useful to visitors.

Contacting Inner West Council by email

Privacy collection statement for applications and service requests

Any information you supply when lodging an application or a request for service is information that may be made publicly available.

The supply of information is voluntary. If you do not provide all details requested, Council may be unable to respond to or process your application or request.

The details you provide are stored at Council offices and are not made publicly available unless there is an overriding public interest to do so under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act) and in accordance with section 18(1)(b) of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW).

Privacy statement for stallholder applicants

Inner West Council is committed to protecting your privacy.   The personal information you provide with your stallholder application is being collected by Inner West Council for the primary purpose of notifying you (by email) of upcoming Inner West Council events for which you might like to make a stallholder application. The information will be stored on Council’s contacts database.

If you do not wish to receive such information, please email events@innerwest.nsw.gov.au and ask to unsubscribe to the communication material sent to you. Council may also need to contact you from time to time for directly related purposes.

Your personal information will not be disclosed to any external party without your consent, unless required by law. Failure to provide the information requested means Council will not be able to let you know about upcoming events and will not be able to contact you to further progress your interest in being a stallholder.
