Heritage conservation areas

Heritage Conservation Areas (HCA) are significant and of value due to the collective nature of buildings and elements in that area.

Further information such as character and statement of significance for each of the individual HCAs can be found the interactive map below. Please follow the user guide below and find "HCA Info Link" in each HCA detail section on the left side in the interactive map. 

 

How to use the Interactive Heritage Map

  • Search an address on the search bar, and click adequate one on the search result to go to the property and see information on a pop-up window. 
  • You can also just browse the map and click any heritage items or heritage conservation areas (HCAs) to see details.
  • To download an HCA statement or visit the State Heritage Inventory website for statement of heritage item, click the link under "More Information" column on the first page of the pop-up window.
  • The information for heritage item or HCA can be seen individually by clicking the arrows on the top left of the pop-up window. 
  • Aerial imagery for base map is available from "Controls" on the top right, next to "Legend", and also adjust the transparency of layers via clicking three dots next to each layer.

Please note that the HCA numbers appear in below maps and documents are based on former councils' LEP and currently not in line with the current Inner West LEP, hence, they are in the process of updates.
