Lisa Kotoulas exhibition at Chrissie Cotter Gallery

Newtown artist Lisa Kotoulas exhibition, Leakage - A Look into the Hidden or Unknown (and Ultimately Irrelevant) will open on Wednesday 10 August at Council’s Chrissie Cotter Gallery.

Lisa says the paintings in her exhibition were inspired by the question, “What is this all about?” She says while many people avoid the question all together, and others plead ignorance, “I chose to explore it”.

“Where does life start? Is it our first encounter with the outside world, is it while developing in the womb or it is anywhere before conception? And where does it end?” she asks.

“My main interest lies in the psychology behind belief structures and what makes some chose to question or challenge organised religious frameworks,” Lisa says.

Council’s Chrissie Cotter Gallery is a free gallery space available to emerging and established inner west artists.

Lisa says this opportunity to exhibit at Chrissie Cotter Gallery, “will provide exposure [of my art] to a wider audience with the opportunity of feedback to potentially enhance my art practice”.

Leakage - A Look into the Hidden or Unknown (and Ultimately Irrelevant) is at Chrissie Cotter Gallery, Pidcock Street Camperdown, from Wednesday 10 – Sunday 21 August. Opening Wednesday 10 August at 6pm.

Lisa is available for interviews on 0403 073 348 www.lisakotoulas.com
