Kerry Hunt – Manager Building Certification

Kerry has over 40 year experience in Building Surveying in local government both here and in the UK. Known as a straightforward, practical professional, Kerry has worked across a wide array of building jobs. From complex multi residential, industrial commercial jobs and fire upgrades, to all varieties of residential jobs, Kerry can always be relied on to offer practical and pragmatic advice and to value add to your projects. She has acted on many technical advisory committees during legislative changes and is able to provide background and big picture advice to ensure the best outcomes for applicants and the community.

Tom Williams – Senior Building Surveyor 

Tom has been with Council since 2012. A country boy at heart, Tom’s easy going manner and approach to solving issues and problems holds him in good stead with builders, applicants and neighbours alike. He possesses a highly technical ability in understanding the National Construction Code (BCA) and planning legislation. His practical and logical approach allows him to relate well and provide good technical advice on all classes of buildings and undertake the Principal Certifier role on all classes of buildings.

Alex Chen Wu – Building Surveyor

Alex’s background in compliance and exemplary negotiating skills are a great addition to the team. Working towards his A3 accreditation, his enthusiasm and attention to detail make him a valuable team player. His customer service skills and can do attitude are highly valued by internal and external clients alike. He is willing to ensure that all customers get the best technical advice and timely assessment of all types of Part 4A certificates.

Mirjana Kovacevic - Building Surveyor

Mira has extensive experience in the construction industry and a practical approach and can do attitude to ensuring timely and professional assessment of all applications. Having worked in the Ashfield area for many years her local knowledge and keen attitude make her a valuable team member. Working towards her A3 accreditation Mira aims to ensure a timely assessment of all Part 4A applications, provides great advice and is our one stop shop for all inclusive quotes.


Caden Cong – Building Surveyor

With over 5 years experience within the construction industry, Caden is the latest member of our team. Having worked in both public and private sector for building construction, fire safety and building compliance, Caden has a strong understanding of legislative requirements and the Building Code. Currently registered as an accredited certifier, Caden can help you with any questions you have for your new house or new alteration.
