Footprints Clothing Swap and Bicycle Cinema Return

Now in its sixth year, the much loved Footprints Ecofestival returns to Whites Creek Valley Park Annandale on Sunday 21 August from 11am to 3pm, with hands-on environmental experiences that include a clothing swap and a pedal-powered cinema.

The Footprints Film Festival will be celebrating the environment by screening local films all day in a pedal-powered cinema tent. Adding to the fun is that everyone is welcome to ride one of four bicycles which power the cinema.
Long part of the Footprints Eco Festival, the Footprints Film Festival competition is an opportunity for aspiring local filmmakers to produce a short film about their local environment.

From the impact of climate change to zombies who cycle, there’s something for everyone on the screen from local filmmakers of all ages. Show times for the films will be available outside the tent and winners announced at 2:30pm.

Elsewhere on the day, festival goers with a bunch of clothes they don’t wear anymore that are still in great condition are encouraged to swap them for something different. The always popular Footprints Clothing Swap will be held in the area outside the Whites Creek Dairy.

Drop-off is from 11:00-11:50am on the day; the swap starts at 12:00pm (noon).

Participants can bring a maximum of up to six items each. All items must be clean and in good condition. This swap is for women's and men's adult clothing.

11:00am-11:50am: Drop off your items and collect tokens (one per item).

12:00pm-1:00pm: Return to the swap tent to exchange your tokens for 'new' items.

There are also a range of educational workshops throughout the Festival day including the Backyard Native Bees workshops @ 11am, 12pm, 1pm where participants learn how to encourage native bee varieties to their backyard garden to enhance pollination.
