Footprints Film Festival Entries Closing 31 July

Budding filmmakers have till the end of this month to enter Council’s annual Footprints Film Festival that showcases the best of Sydney’s short films with an environmental or sustainability theme.

Finalists’ films will be screened in a bicycle-powered cinema tent and the winner announced at the Footprints Film Festival, part of the Footprints Ecofestival on Sunday 21 August 2016 at White’s Creek Valley Park, Annandale.

The first place prize winner this year wins a $2,000 voucher for Photo-Shop-Studio in Ashfield.

The festival is free and anyone, including kids, teenagers and adults can enter.

It is an opportunity for aspiring local filmmakers to produce a short film about their local environment or a sustainability issue that’s important to them.

All they need is a great idea using the themes of environment and sustainability, and a video camera or a mobile phone to make their film.

Films must have an environmental or sustainable message or theme, and be no longer than 7 minutes. They can be submitted online or on USB to the Footprints Film Festival at Inner West Council – Leichhardt Service Centre.

Enter now for your chance to be discovered as an upcoming filmmaker, plus be in the running to win some of the $5,000 worth of great prizes.

To find out more about the Footprints Film Festival, including Terms & Conditions and how to submit your film, please visit our website at: http://www.leichhardt.nsw.gov.au/Footprints-Film-Festival.
