GreenWay Masterplan

The GreenWay Masterplan was adopted by Inner West Council on 14 August 2018.  Its aim is to:

  • guide the delivery of landscaping and infrastructure within the GreenWay corridor over the next 10 years
  • establishes the GreenWay as an integrated ecological and active transport corridor for a range of passive and active recreation opportunities
  • incorporate local places for culture and art

The Masterplan includes proposals for $57 million of works to be implemented over the long term. Around $45 million of priority works are anticipated to be completed in 2025.

GreenWay Masterplan 

Concept design

Based on the adopted Masterplan, Council developed concept designs in 2019. Based on further feedback from the community and government stakeholders the Concept designs were revised in 2020. The revised concept design can be downloaded below.

Review of Environmental Factors (REF)

The GreenWay REF was completed in June 2021. The report and appendices can be downloaded below. 

GreenWay microbats

The GreenWay Compensatory Microbat Habitat Installation Report was completed in August 2023. The complete report can be downloaded below. 

The GreenWay Microbat Exclusion Report was completed in February 2024. The complete report can be downloaded below. 

Draft Design Plan

The GreenWay Draft Design Plan was presented to the community for feedback in April 2023. The draft design plan and artist impressions can be downloaded below.
