Council has a commitment to deliver new and improved services to the community.

This includes infrastructure works and projects, ongoing maintenance of our streets and parks, waste collection, recycling initiatives, public art projects and more.

In 2022/23 Inner West Council: 

  • Resolved 91% of customer queries at the first point of contact
  • Derived 100% of Council’s electricity from renewable sources
  • Allocated $458K in Community Grants
  • Delivered a record 44 new Perfect Match artwork sites
  • Delivered an improved 7.3 days average for pothole repairs
  • Had over 1.3M visitors to our Aquatic Centres
  • Opened the $1.1M Inner West Sustainability Hub, housing The Bower and the Green Living Centre
  • Created Lewis Herman Reserve in Ashfield, Australia’s first dementia-friendly public park
  • Delivered the $899K Leichhardt Skate Park in Leichhardt Park for the community to enjoy
