What is EDGE?

EDGE Inner West shines a spotlight on the inner west as the cultural engine of global Sydney with immersive arts programs in creative spaces.

EDGE Inner West funds local artists, creative spaces and businesses to present new work in the Inner West.

EDGE GreenWay occurs annually in April/May and EDGE Sydenham in August.

Inner West Council works collaboratively with the creative sector to develop initiatives, curate programs and produce lasting benefits for the Inner West.

Some components of the EDGE festival include:

  • Creative Trails - Discover where art is made inside studios, artist run initiatives, unusual spaces, shopfronts, factories and warehouses.
  • Art on the Street – Encounter street art in a Perfect Match of owners, street artists and placemaking on local streets.
  • Edge Talks – Hear artists, thinkers, academics and activists exploring big ideas.
  • EDGE Spaces - Free spaces to rehearse, perform, present and develop new work in council town halls, venues and temporary residencies.
