EDGE Sydenham fires up the industrial heartlands of the Inner West!

Over two weekends, arts and community unite for one incredible celebration of Postcode 2044. 

Home to the highest population of cultural sector workers in Australia, this is your chance to discover where art is made, who is making it and why it matters.

This Saturday 20 August from 10am to 8pm, bring your friends and family to Sydenham Green for the most incredible day and night showcase celebration of our community and all that's on offer in Postcode 2044. 

Program Highlights:

  • Dorothy the Dinosaur
    10am - Sing and Dance along with Dorothy the Dinosaur, as she performs some of your favourite Wiggly tunes!

  • The Soul Movers x Tempe High - special collaborations headed by Murray Cook and Lizzie Mack.
  • Skate demo's and workshops with TOTEM
    & paint your own skateboard with cartoonist Bunkwaa and street artist Skulk.

  • THE BOX
    by Shaun Parker and Company
    A 10min experiential work within a shipping container
    • 3:45pm Found Objects exclusive performance 
  • Future People with Legs On The Wall
    Free exclusive workshops with this nationally acclaimed company.

  • Deluge 
    by Sair Solidair
    A larger-than-life giant sculptural gush of water smashing to the earth and spreading across the land. A physical manifestation of the overwhelming state of climate emergency we have now arrived at.
    12pm - Interactive Art Play and Artist Talk
  • GLITCH: A playground of the Apocalypse
    By Tortuga Studios
    4 - 8pm, explore Tortuga Studios apocalyptic night playground – GLITCH.
    With its fractured light, warped sound and large scale installations, this multimedia event features some of Sydney’s leading industrial artists with performances and live music by Gladi8tor, Christa Hughes, Grumblemorph featuring John Jacobs, Toydeath, Subway Monk, Outrageous Entertainment and Empress Stah.
