Comic Con-versation now in its 5th year celebrates the best of local comic culture, with a relaxed Saturday evening of comics, talks and music at Ashfield Library.

From 5 pm meet and mingle with our talented local comic creators in the Artists' Alley, and purchase their books, comics and art.

You Can Die From Exposure: A Panel on Freelancing

Are you interested in becoming a creative freelancer but are unsure about where to start? Do you want to know what it's like? Then come to You Can Die From Exposure, a Comic Con-versation panel presented by Sydney Comics Guild and MC'd by Hilary Sandeman, humorous illustrator, and featuring Regine Clarke, Marcelo Baez, Anthony Calvert, Mike Barry and Louie Joyce.

The Art of Storytelling

Stories are told in a visually compelling away through the medium of comics and graphic novels, The Storytelling Through Comics panel will look at how comic creators get their story ideas, and how they tell their stories in comic form. Sydney-based comics writer Christof Bogacs will moderate an engaging discussion on the art of storytelling, with comic creators Marcelo Baez, Queenie Chan and Rod Feldman. There will be time to ask our expert panel your questions at the end of the session.
