Visiting the library safely

Inner West Libraries will reopen to the public on Monday, 11 October.

NSW Health has outlined conditions of entry for all indoor venues. When visiting the Library:

  • You must sign in using COVID safe check in.
  • Mask wearing is mandatory except for children under 12. If you cannot wear a face mask because of a disability, physical or mental health illness or condition, you must carry either a medical certificate or letter signed by a registered health practitioner (such as a doctor) or a registered NDIS provider or a statutory declaration.

If you are not fully vaccinated please contact the library about how to collect reserved items on 9392 5588.

These conditions of entry may change in the future due to changing NSW Health directives.  Please check this page for latest updates before visiting the Library.

Opening hours

Libraries will operate at revised hours in the short term.

Ashfield, Balmain, Leichhardt and Marrickville Libraries:

Monday- Friday, 9am to 5pm
Weekends, 10am to 5pm

Emanuel Tsardoulias Community, Haberfield, Stanmore, St Peters/Sydenham Libraries:

Monday- Friday, 10am to 5pm
Saturday, 10am to 4pm
Sunday- closed

Programs and events

Programs and events will continue to be hosted online. Our team is busy working to reinstate COVID safe programs and events and we will have more information in the coming weeks.
