Program description
Council undertakes an annual program of playground renewal and upgrade to ensure playground assets are in good condition and meet safety standards, and to improve play experiences. The NSW Government inclusive play design guidelines Everyone Can Play are implemented where possible.
Darrell Jackson Gardens
- Description: Upgrade of unfenced playground, creation of a more accessible play space and amenities area with BBQ

Hammond Park Playground
- Description: New seating, playground equipment and pathways.
- Budget: $74,000
- Expected Completion date: Playground completed June 2021 Fencing is scheduled to be completed by Dec 2022
- Progress: New seating, playground equipment and pathways all completed

John Paton Reserve
- Description: Remove all equipment and soft fall, and replace with new.
- Budget: IWC is spending $996k to upgrade seven playgrounds across three Council wards.
- Expected completion date: August 2023
- Progress: Construction

Kendrick Park
- Description: Remove all equipment from the two play spaces and synthetic grass soft fall and replace with new
- Budget: IWC is spending $996k to upgrade seven playgrounds across three Council wards.

- Description: Review the existing Constellation Playground theme and create a new identity. Changes to the sandpit area. New shade sails. Softfall in other parts of the playground will be upgraded
