Program description

Council undertakes an annual program of playground renewal and upgrade to ensure playground assets are in good condition and meet safety standards, and to improve play experiences. The NSW Government inclusive play design guidelines Everyone Can Play are implemented where possible.

Crammond Park

  • Description: Crammond Park shade sails to play equipment.
  • Budget: $40k
  • Expected completion date: End November 2023
  • Progress: Procurement

John Paton Reserve

  • Description: Remove all equipment and soft fall, and replace with new.
  • Budget: IWC is spending $996k to upgrade seven playgrounds across three Council wards.
  • Expected completion date: Mid September 2023
  • Progress: Construction

King George Park

  • Description: Review the existing Constellation Playground theme and create a new identity. Changes to the sandpit area. New shade sails. Softfall in other parts of the playground will be upgraded
  • Expected completion date: July 2023
  • Budget: $480,000
  • Progress: Tender Procurement
