2022 Council meeting dates

All meetings commence at 6:30pm unless otherwise stated.

Councillors and staff will be attending Council meetings by Zoom. Members of the public can also watch the livestream of the meeting. A link to the livestream is available on the following page

Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday each month but only on the third Tuesday in July and first Tuesday in December. Council is in recess during January and the first 2 weeks of July.

Live streaming of Council meetings

Inner West Council Meetings are streamed live on Council's website. Visit the webcasts page to stream a live Council Meeting or view recordings of previous meetings.

Register to speak at Council meetings 

The public may now register to speak at Council meetings via Zoom.

Anyone who would like to speak about an Agenda Item at a Council Meeting must register by 2pm on the day of the Council Meeting via the meeting registration form available here.

Only those who register using the online registration form will be able to speak. Please fill in the register to speak form at the bottom of this page including:

  • Your name (must use the same name on Zoom)
  • Contact details including email address
  • Item on the Agenda you wish to speak to
  • Whether you are for or against the recommendation in the agenda

Only the first 3 speakers for and 3 speakers against each item will be permitted to speak.

Once you have registered, you will receive the Zoom meeting ID and password. Please do not share this with anyone else. If the item you are registering for already has the allocated amount of speakers, you will be notified via email.

You may join the Council meeting via zoom at 6.30pm but will only be allowed into the meeting when it is your turn to speak. During your time in the waiting room, you may still watch the livestream of the meeting. As a requirement, you must use the same name on Zoom as the name you registered to speak with otherwise you will not be allowed into the meeting.

Once you have concluded speaking, you will be removed from the meeting.
