Artist statement

In IDEAS, DRAFTS & LOOPS Travis presents a selection of new works exploring old ideas that have never been exhibited before.

Concepts range from the crushing spirals of buildings Travis experienced during his first visit to the city to the dark gods and flames of lust of his more recent major exhibitions as well as his ponderings on life, death and love since the passing of his Dutch born Grandfather.

The exhibition will present work in a range of mediums including: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, audio and literary forms.

Upcoming exhibitions

Travis De Vries will be exhibiting Ideas, Drafts and Loops  at Chrissie Cotter Gallery Wednesday 3 October (opening night) to 7 October 2018.

Current work

Travis is working on a major touring exhibition at the moment and is the artist in residence at Gallery Gallery and the Australian Museum. Major touring work "Garden" will premiere in May 2019.
