Activities for seniors
Council offers a number of activities for seniors living in the Inner West Council area. These activities provide opportunities to keep well, get creative and connect with other like minded people living near you.
Each type of activity may have a different contact phone number or venue to express interest in participating.

Relocation of programs 2019
Marrickville Town Hall programs
From 23 April until further notice, the following programs will be relocated due to maintenance and the federal election:
- Line dancing - from 3 May ( please note there is no group on 26 April)
- Gentle exercise - from 29 April
- Active and healthy Group - from 26 April.
The new location is:
Marrickville Church, 336 Marrickville Road, Marrickville – directly opposite the Town Hall.
For main hall, access ramp from the Petersham Road entrance, accessible toilet facilities.
Only the Active and Healthy Group will use the main hall. Line dancing and gentle exercise will use the main hall.
Ashfield Civic Centre programs
The following programs have been cancelled between 3 May to 19 May due to the federal election:
- Seniors theatre
- Table Tennis

Active and Connected program booklet
Council has developed a booklet showcasing the variety of activities available throughout the inner west designed to promote health and wellbeing for over 50s.
The booklet contains class information and pricing as well as phone numbers and venues for you to get more details about the activities available.
