Using Council's instant book system  

How to make a booking for the first time and set up an account

From the home screen on the Council website, go to 'Find a venue, park or sporting ground' to be taken to the venues for hire page.

You will then be able to review Council's venues under their respective categories

  • Community centres
  • Meeting rooms
  • Rooms and small halls
  • Town halls

At the bottom of each venue's respective information page there is an 'Instant book' tab that will take you to the booking system.

From here you will be able to make a provisional booking request for your preferred event date and upload your documents.

Cancelling a booking

Log in to your account and go to 'My Bookings', and for the relevant booking, click on 'Manage'.

Once in the booking, click on the "Request Cancellation" tab on the top right or bottom of the booking.

You can use Council's online customer service request system to make a general enquiry for our community venues:

The venue can be hired between 8.00am and 11.00pm, 7 days. See terms and conditions below.

Venues available for hire include:

Main hall

Suitable for:

Exercise or dance classes social gatherings, meetings, children's birthday parties, music events and performances.

Facilities:

Floor space 120m2 (11.4 x 10.6m), stage area 28m2 (10.5 x 2.7m), polished floor boards, basic piano, kitchen with a wall mounted hot water system, oven and stove top, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator, ceiling fans, heaters, 8 trestle tables, 80 chairs, children's playground common area, toilets.

Capacity:

100 people - standing/mingling, or
80 people - concert seating

Meeting room (by request only)

Suitable for:

Meetings

Facilities:

20 chairs, 4 trestle tables, sink with cold water only, kettle, children's playground common area, shared toilets in the main hall.

Capacity:

30 people - standing/mingling, or
20 people - meeting style
