PRUAIP - Crystal Street

• Project address:   Crystal  St Street between Parramatta Rd and Elswick Street, Leichhardt
• Project Description: Design & construction for public domain improvements to Crystal St, Leichhardt perpendicular to Parramatta Road.

Streetscape improvements include improved stormwater drainage, lifting and replacing cracked and uneven footpath pavements, new street tree planting, understory mass planting, and new street furniture. This providing a safer surface for walking and so engendering a sense of pride in the appearance of the public domain

Other works include:

- Improved cycling facilities

- Underground electricity

- New Multifunction Poles & lights

-  New Traffic Control Signals

• Progress:  

- Works are progressing 

- The  project is delayed due to;

- the COVID shutdown

- extended delays by TfNSW in approving the traffic Lights at Parramatta Road and at Elswick Street

- Ausgrid Industrial Action (strikes)

- Underground electrical works complete

- Footpaths and crossings are complete

-Tree Planting is complete

- Electrical outage has been completed, all poles and overheads have been removed. 

- Reinstatement of pavements affected by the Ausgrid outage will be completed by Nov 22
