Marrickville & St Peters Town Hall Upgrade

• Project description: 

Council is undertaking staged upgrades of Marrickville and St Peters Town Halls. In 2020 new lifts and other internal refurbishment was completed.

The next stage of works involves external façade repairs and renewal including brick repairs and stitching, various structural repairs to reinforcement beams, and other elements, lead flashing to the parapet, removal of redundant items, repairs to windows and render and repainting.

At St Peters Town Hall the external access ramp will also be replaced to improve accessibility into the building.

Council is also developing masterplans for both town halls in coordination with the Expressions of Interest for the future use of Marrickville Town Hall.

• Replacement of the roof above kitchen completed
