Project description:

This project is part of the staged refurbishment of the historic Leichhardt Town hall that commenced in 2019.

Works completed to date include the repainting of the building exterior and hall interior and stage one of external LED lighting upgrade. The external upgrade received a Heritage NSW award in 2020.

The next stage of works will complete the external lighting upgrade, reinstate heritage sympathetic fire enclosure and complete internal renewal of kitchens and improvements to hall acoustics.

Progress:

  • Tender for external Lighting project closed and evaluation in progress.
  • Construction of internal works in progress

Expected completion date: Internal works Jul 2023

Budget: $580,000
