King George Park Amenities Upgrade

Project description: Upgrade to the existing amenities building.

King George Park is a popular recreational hub linked to the Bay Run and widely used within the Inner West LGA. The project aligns with Council’s Community Strategic Plan 2036, particularly Strategy SD4, which focuses on enhancing community health, well-being, accessibility, and public space safety.

The works included:

Three new storerooms
6 gender-neutral public toilets (2 ambulant toilets)
Reconfigured internal layout with home/away change rooms and toilet/shower facilities
1 council storage for park maintenance
2 storage rooms and 2 large cupboards for the sport clubs (Balmain Little Athletics, Leichhardt Saints, and Leichhardt Juniors Rugby League Football Club)
Removal of two existing shipping containers from the sportsfield
Building extension intergrated with existing structure
Expanded CCTV coverage
