Open Inner West is a Council event which takes the form of a festival, 10 days celebrating culture and diversity in the inner west through storytelling, music, dance, art, theatre, food and simply gathering together. Open Inner West unlocks the talents and creativity of local communities and celebrates the many and varied cultures that reside here.

Open Inner West cultural events must take place between Friday 15 June to Sunday 24 June 2018 in a variety of locations across the Inner West Council local government area.

Funding of up to $7,500 is available for cultural events and activities to be held as part of Open Inner West 2018.

Community groups, schools, local artists, cultural groups and the general public are invited to submit an application for grant funding. Council is looking for a range of activities such as cooking classes, poetry readings, craft and traditional arts workshop, exhibitions and cultural events. Please read the guidelines before applying for a grant.

Applications for the 2018 Open Inner West Grant round are open from 12 noon, Thursday 5 October 2017 until 12 noon, Monday 6 November 2017
