Click & Collect library service is back

Tuesday 14 September 2021

The popular Click & Collect is returning to Inner West libraries.

“We have been asking that the Public Health Order that closed this service be urgently amended so we could allow for our libraries to resume Click & Collect,” said Inner West Mayor Rochelle Porteous.

“I’m really pleased that the NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard has listened to us and made the necessary exemption,” Mayor Porteous said.

“Now I’m determined to get this service up and running again as soon as possible.

“Library services play an incredibly important role in the wellbeing of our community, especially during lockdown,” said Mayor Rochelle Porteous.

“I know many, many Inner West residents will be so happy and relieved to one again be able to borrow books, DVDs and so much more from our libraries.”

Click & Collect will be a COVID-19-safe service.

After searching the catalogue, up to 40 items can be reserved on-line or via phone.

When the item is ready to be collected, a text or email is sent. Items are held for five days.

The Click & Collect pick up points are Ashfield, Balmain, Leichhardt or Marrickville libraries entrances, Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, weekends from 11am-5pm.

The collector will need to show a library card or ID.

There’s also a home delivery service for anyone self-isolating or at risk. Contact the home library on 9335 2134 or 9392 5109.
