Still Lifes to feature at Chrissie Cotter Gallery

Friday, 2 August 2019

A group of five emerging artists will show a collection of Still Lifes at the next exhibition at Council’s Chrissie Cotter Gallery.

Looking at the Overlooked, Still Life in Contemporary Practise, “offers audiences not just a look at contemporary aesthetics of still life painting, but a contemplative, stilled space where audiences can engage with bigger questions about the natural world and our relationship with it,” according to Sue Murray.

Sue is joined in the exhibition by Bronwyn Bassett, Dianne McCarthy, Joyce Lubotzky and Alessia Britti.

Looking at the Overlooked, Still Life in Contemporary Practise opens Saturday, 17 August, 2-5pm.

Exhibition Dates: August 14 – 25, Thursday to Sunday 11am-4pm.

Chrissie Cotter Gallery, Pidcock Street, Camperdown.

For an interview with one of the artists, or a print quality image, call Sue Murray on 0412 810 745.
