Fundraiser exhibition at Chrissie Cotter Gallery - ArtStaff #8

Tuesday, 17 September 2019

Inner West Council’s Chrissie Cotter Gallery is the venue for the eighth annual fundraising exhibition by 40 staff from the Art Gallery of NSW.

All the exhibiting artists work in some capacity at the Art Gallery of NSW.

“We began exhibiting together in 2012,” said ArtStaff spokeswoman, Emma Smith. “We have always exhibited at Chrissie Cotter Gallery. It is a peaceful and warm gallery space,” she said.

Council donates half the commission to each chosen charity every year.

“Council has been extremely generous to our group,” Emma said.

All works are for sale through a silent auction on opening night.

This year, ArtStaff is raising money for Wilderness Society. Since 2012, ArtStaff has raised a total of $61,783.60 for:

• 2012 Chris O’Brien LifeHouse
• 2013 Leukaemia Foundation
• 2014 Cerebral Palsy Alliance
• 2015 Fred Hollows Foundation
• 2016 Save The Children

• 2018 Women’s and Girls Emergency Centre, Redfern
