Discover the all new Dulwich Hill Village Fair

The fair is an exciting community event celebrating local food producers, tantalising storytellers, kids activities and plenty more in Dulwich Hill on Sunday, 15 September. 

For the first time, Dulwich Hill Village Fair will host the ‘Dully Locals’ producers hub in the Seaview Community Hall. Curated by Chrissy Flanagan of Chrissy’s Cuts and The Sausage Factory; the hub will feature talks, panels and demonstrations.

Highlights of the ‘Dully Locals’ producers hub include speed dating with the Food Authority, Brewers Association and local food entrepreneurs:

  • Kombu Kombucha
  • Drunken Sailor
  • Rosa’s Mexican Deli
  • The General
  • The Sausage Factory
  • Baked by Kieran
  • Local home-based makers

The mainstage has been curated by Caroline Buckingham from Butcher’s Brew featuring a diverse line-up of:

  • Dulwich Hill Rock band
  • Jubilate Singers community choir
  • Amera’s Palace drumming and belly dancing
  • Sophia Ventouris School of Greek Dance
  • Groovemeisters funk/jazz party band

Local institution Gleebooks have created a storytellers tent in the Seaview St carpark with a sensational line-up of authors including musician Josh Pyke who has just released his first children’s book ‘Lights Out Leonard’ for 3 to 5-year olds.

The line-up of authors for the Gleebooks storytellers tent includes:

  • Ursula Dubosarsky ‘Ask Hercules Quick’ for 3 to 6-year olds
  • Zoe and Georgia Norton-Lodge ‘Elizabella and the Great Tuckshop Takeover’ for 8 to 11-year olds
  • Lisa Siberry ‘Brilliant Ideas of Lily Green’ for 9 to 12-year olds
  • Mark Mordue and Robyn Chiles ‘The Hollow Tree’ for 5 to 12-year olds

The carpark will become children’s area ‘Little Dulwich’ featuring a circus playground and creative area of DIY face painting, plural mural and selfie booth. A stellar line-up has also been cast for the Kids Stage featuring martial arts, visual arts, dancing, musicians and more.

Caves Lane will also undergo a transformation by Dulwich Hill Visual Arts School with an aerial arts display.

Dulwich Hill Village Fair will be held on Sunday, 15 September from 10am-4pm between Marrickville Road and Seaview Street.
