Council to honour inspiring women

Inner West Council is inviting nominations of inspiring women for an International Women's Day Honour Roll.

The Honour Roll will celebrate local women and girls who have made a contribution to empowerment, equality, social justice and inclusion.

It will recognise all local women, including First Nations women, LGBTIQ+ women and women of intersecting and diverse cultural backgrounds.

Any woman or girl who has made a significant contribution to empowering women and lives, works, or volunteers in the Inner West Council local government area is eligible for nomination.

All nominations will be reviewed by Council’s International Women’s Day working party, a panel of staff and local community members.

Successful nominees will be showcased online. Finalists will be announced at the 2019 International Women's Day event:
