Safer driving workshop for learner drivers

Inner West Council, with support from Roads and Maritime Services, present a FREE workshop to assist parents and supervisors of learner drivers.

This free workshop will teach parents and supervisors how to plan learner driving lessons, use the learner driver log book, and give learners constructive feedback.

It also gives parents and supervisors an opportunity to share their experiences with each other.

The two-hour workshop will help parents and supervisors better understand the graduated licensing system (GLS) as well as some of the restrictions that apply to learner and P-plate drivers.

The workshop also helps learner drivers identify risks on the roads. Speed management, hazard awareness and safe following distances are some of the strategies in the course’s theoretical and practical sessions, which earn learner drivers 20 hours of log book credit.

Workshop details: Leichhardt Town Hall, Monday 19 February, 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

Bookings are essential via email to chris.johnson@innerwest.nsw.gov.au or call 9392 5646.
