Hands off Tigers games at Leichhardt Oval

Thursday, 14 June 2018

"Revelations in the NSW Government’s business case for rebuilding the Sydney Football Stadium will send a shudder down the spines of West Tigers fans.

"For years, the State Government has been trying to put an end to NRL games played at Leichhardt Oval and other suburban grounds.

"It’s time for politicians and rugby league administrators to finally get the message. NRL games at suburban grounds, not soulless stadiums, are what the fans want.

"The only way they will end West Tigers games at Leichhardt Oval is to go to war with hundreds of thousands of fans.

"I’m calling on the NSW Government to reject the assertions in the business case that all West Tigers games could be moved from Leichhardt Oval to a new Sydney Football Stadium."
