Australia Day celebrations in Enmore Park

Inner West Council will lead the celebrations for this year’s Australia Day in Enmore Park with a stunning line-up of live entertainment, food and activities.

The day kicks off with a Citizenship Ceremony which will include an indigenous welcome, followed by the announcements of the Citizen, Senior Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year.

Live entertainment runs throughout the day with a fantastic line-up of local artists including ABC Kids’ new sensation Nay Nay, Sydney rock band The Nevilles, winners of the Marrickville Festival 2016 Break Competition - Apache, and The Voice contestant Emad Younan.

The Aria award-winning, Aussie pop-rock legends 1927 will take to the stage as this year’s headline act.

There will be plenty to keep the little ones entertained with a range of children’s activities including a playground, jumping castle, face painting, native Australian animals and the Magic Yellow Bus.

Delicious international food will be available from a diverse range of vendors including authentic Filipino cuisine, Spanish paella, traditional Indonesian dishes, Turkish gozleme and more. Fairy floss, ice cream, ginger tonic and other refreshments will also be on offer.

In the Community Services Event Tent will be Gig Buddies and St Vincent De Paul Ability Links, a charitable organisation helping those living with disability, their families and carers, as well as elderly people, parents with prams, and others with mobility needs.

Celebrations will be rounded off with the annual fireworks display at 8.45pm.
