Time Running Out for ClubGRANT Applications
Community organisations have until the end of April to apply for an Inner West ClubGRANT to help them deliver local projects that benefit the inner west community.
Each year clubs across NSW provide support to local non-profit community organisations to fund projects that make a difference to the community.
Last year the clubs allocated more than 100 million to deserving projects across NSW.
In 2016 local groups SHINE for Kids Co-Operative and Little Wings Flight Program received ClubGrants.
SHINE used their $2,500 ClubGrant for a program to help children visit a parent in prison and provide emotional support before and after the visit.
Little Wings received $2,400 to help provide free, safe flights and ground transportation for children from regional NSW, who are suffering life-threatening illnesses so that they can receive specialist medical treatment in the city.
The grants are specifically aimed at projects and programs that support community welfare and social services; community development; employment assistance activities; community health services; and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people.
The Inner West ClubGRANTS program is a newly expanded grant program, formed through combining the Marrickville ClubGRANTS program and the Ashfield ClubGRANTS program.
Inner West ClubGRANTS are available to assist projects which deliver benefits across the communities of the Inner West Council area, including Annandale, Ashfield, Balmain (including Balmain East), Birchgrove, Dobroyd Point, Dulwich Hill, Enmore, Haberfield, Leichhardt, Lewisham, Lilyfield, Marrickville, South Marrickville, Petersham, Rozelle, Stanmore, St Peters, Summer Hill, Sydenham, Tempe and parts of: Ashbury, Camperdown, Croydon, Croydon Park, Hurlstone Park and Newtown.
