Solar Assessment
Residents of Newtown (postcodes 2042 and 2043) can access free bespoke advice about installing solar PV. Advice is independent and impartial. Attendees need to call 9519 6366 or email angela.mayer@greenlivingcentre.org.au to book a 45 minute one-on-one session.

Worm Farming
Learn how to set up and maintain a worm farm at home and convert kitchen scraps to garden gold. Worm farming is easy and contributes to reducing waste for a low carbon lifestyle. Participants can also buy worm farms and worms after the workshop.
Saturday 21 January, 10am – 12pm

Introduction to Urban Beekeeping
Gavin the beekeeping expert will talk about bee, hives and why bees are important. Get up close and personal with both European and native hives. Hosted by Cottage in the Graveyard Community Garden.
Saturday 28 January, 10am – 12pm

Energy Basics
Avoid bill shock at this workshop with an energy expert who can assist in understanding energy bills, choosing an energy supplier, and making a green energy plan. Bring a current energy bill.
Tuesday 31 January, 6.30pm – 8pm

No Dig Gardening
The 'no dig' gardening method of growing food in containers, on balconies and in small backyard plots is suitable for complete beginners. No dig gardens are built-up - perfect for inner-city (often) contaminated soils. Participants take home a mini no dig garden.
