Sustainable streets

Native grass and purple lavender in verge garden.

Verges, also known as nature strips, are important areas of public land that can provide many environmental benefits and create more liveable spaces.

The Sustainable Streets Program allows residents to create, manage and maintain verge gardens.

Currently only residents who live in the former Marrickville Council area can access this program. If you live in the other parts of Inner West Council area use the button below to register your interest in joining the program when it becomes available in your area.
