Water Street Reserve

Water Street Reserve is a steep multi-tiered park with disabled access by way of a lift leading to Hopetoun Quay with a boardwalk along the seawall. The Balmain Sailing Club is located here.

History

The Balmain Sailing Club was originally formed in October 1885 and was re-established in 1995 after a period of little activity for nearly 50 years.  A community based group took over the lease for a premises at the foot of Water Street previously known as The Balmain 12ft Skiff Club. It was renamed the Balmain Sailing Club
