Parks with inclusive playgrounds

In May 2022, Council committed to a five-year program to establish a flagship inclusive playground in every Inner West ward, in consultation with not-for-profit inclusivity experts Touched By Olivia.

Along with feedback from residents and community groups, Council uses the NSW Everyone Can Play guidelines to develop these play spaces, which are designed to include everyone in the community.

So far, inclusive playgrounds have been opened in the following parks:

• King George Park, Rozelle
• Richard Murden Reserve, Haberfield

The following inclusive playgrounds are currently in planning or development:

• Yeo Park, Ashfield
• Camperdown Park (Damun Playground), Camperdown
• Steel Park (Midjuburi Playground), Marrickville
