Inner West Council runs a range of regular school holiday programs for 12–18 year olds. Please refer  to the links below of programs that are available:

Inner West Council Summer 2018 School Holiday Program

Due to the popularity of Wet ‘n’ Wild booking restrictions will apply - you may only book into one Wet ‘n’ Wild activity during the Summer 2018 School Holiday Program

Wednesday 3 Jan 10:30am – 1:30pm
Ages 12–18

Laser Tag and Bowling

  • Cost: $20
  • Venue: Meet at Leichhardt Town Hall to catch the Council bus - 10:30am

Two games of laser tag followed by one hour of bowling at Kingpin Darling Harbour. Lunch included.

Arts Day - Dyeing - BOOKED OUT

  • Cost: Free
  • Venue: Leichhardt Town Hall - 107 Norton St, Leichhardt

Learn how to dye and take home your very own t-shirt, tote bag or tea towel, and badge making with a unique design. Don't miss your chance to learn from our very talented creative industrial artists. Lunch provided.

Skyzone Trampolining(After Dark) - BOOKED OUT

  • Cost: $20
  • Venue: Meet at Leichhardt Town Hall to catch the Council bus - 6:00pm

Trampolining at Skyzone Indoor Trampoline Area Alexandria. Socks must be worn for trampolining. Bring money to buy dinner on the way home.

  • Venue: Meet at Hoyts Cinema - Broadway Shopping Centre - 1pm

A mystery movie at Hoyts Cinemas, Broadway (rating TBC). Bring lunch or money to buy snacks. Times are subject to change (depending on session times).

  • Cost: $35
  • Venue: Meet at Leichhardt Town Hall to catch the Council bus, 8:30am

Bring a hat, towel, swimmers, sunscreen and lunch or money to buy lunch. Only small food items such as homemade sandwiches and fruit can be brought into the venue.

Arts Day 2 - Screen Printing - BOOKED OUT

  • Cost: Free
  • Venue: Leichhardt Town Hall - 107 Norton St, Leichhardt

Submit your own unique design and screen print on your very own tote bag, t-shirt, or tea-towel- or bring your own item to print on! Please submit your design 1 week prior to the workshop: must be black and white - no grey. Or use one the supplied designs. Lunch provided.

Picnic & Coastal Walk

  • Cost: $5
  • Venue: Meet at Leichhardt Town Hall to catch the Council bus - 10am

A leisurely coastal walk from Clovelly Beach to Bondi Beach - stopping at Bronte Beach for a free picnic. Bring swimmers, sunscreen, hat, walking shoes and water! Swimming will be restricted to the pool at Bronte.

Ice Skating Disco (After Dark) - BOOKED OUT

Two hours of skating at Macquarie Ice Skating Rink. Bring money to purchase food.

Arts Day - Prints and Covers

  • Cost: Free

Make your own unique notebook covers - a fancy decorating book cover. Followed by lego letter pressing! Learn how to use lego to print your own designs. Crafty and spectacular. Lunch provided.

Sushi Making

An introductory sushi making workshop delivered by the Inner West Council's Young Leaders Reference Group. Come enjoy a tantalising feast and learn to make your own sushi. Wear comfortable clothing.

Power Tools for young women (power drills) - an introductory workshop to encourage young women to safetly utilise power tools for your crafting needs. Wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes. Lunch provided.

A private tour of the skies at Sydney Observatory. Enjoy a perfect summers night at one of Sydney's most insightful educational facilities.

Registration, Consent and Further Information

  • Registrations essential and conditions, limits and fees apply
  • Concessions apply for eligible parents/guardians
  • Parents/guardians must complete the registration and consent form below to register, select activities and provide consent for their child
  • Once Council receives your registration and consent form, you will receive an email (within 1 business day, where possible) to advise whether your registration has been successful or whether you have been waitlisted
  • Information regarding payments and concessions is included in this email
  • Please pay in advance. Payments made on the day of the activity incur an additional $10 fee
  • All School Holiday Program activities are supervised by Inner West Council Council staff (Youth Workers)
  • Council staff will not wait longer than 15 minutes for late arrivals
  • Activities requiring transportation using Council's bus - participants will be transported from Leichhardt Town Hall to the activity location and then returned to Leichhardt Town Hall upon completion of the activity. For After Dark activities, participants living in the Leichhardt Ward or Balmain Ward of the Inner West Council Local Government Area may be dropped off home by the Council bus (see Inner West Council Local Government Area Ward Boundaries map). Participants living outside of these areas will be returned to Leichhardt Town Hall
  • Finish times for activities requiring transportation using Council's bus, are approximate times only for drop off at Leichhardt Town Hall
  • All School Holiday Program activities are subject to change
  • Outdoor activities are subject to environmental factors and may be postponed or cancelled at Council's discretion
  • Additional activity/venue specific forms may be required for some School Holiday Program activities. Where required, these forms will be emailed to parents/guardians
  • Participants are not permitted to leave a School Holiday Program activity until the completion of the activity unless consent outlining alternative arrangements is provided in writing by a parent/guardian
  • The information collected in the School Holiday Program registration and consent form is for Council use only. Council uses this information for the purpose of delivering and managing the School Holiday Program. This information is stored in a secure electronic record management system

Cancellations

  • To cancel a booking contact Council on 9367 9271
  • No shows and/or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, incur a fee (the full cost of the activity)
  • Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice do not incur a fee. Where a payment has been made, the payment is transferrable to another activity/person.

Yoga for teens

School, exams, little brothers and sisters, boy-troubles, girl-troubles, parents and social media are realities of being a teenager.
