Biggest Morning Tea celebration at Leichhardt Family Day Care

The morning tea is part of a series of events for National Family Day Care Week from 6 to 12 May.
National Family Day Care week, which is now in its seventh year, aims to recognise and promote the important role family day care educators and services play in the development and well-being of children across Australia.
Leichhardt Family Day Care will host its 4th Biggest Morning Tea at the Community Playsession on Wednesday, 8 May from 10am to 11:30am. Food and prizes are being donated by the local community and the State Emergency Service will make a special visit.
Marrickville and Leichhardt Family Day Care will both be holding Open Days at the Playsession venues on Saturday 4 May, from 9.30-11.30am.
Families will get to meet with educators and have any questions answered as well as de-mystify what Family Day Care is. Learning areas and portfolios will be on display to help educate families on what homebase child care has to offer their child. Both will have children’s entertainment on offer including face painting and balloon bending.
Leichhardt will also host a Teddy Bears’ Picnic for the children and families with a special story time on Thursday, 9 May from 9:30 to 11:30am.
Inner West Council’s Family Day Care services provide education and care programs for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years of age within the homes of qualified and trained educators. Children are also able to take part in Playsessions throughout the week to build relationships between children and educators in an engaging learning environment.
