Inner West Built Environment Awards: Heritage and Sustainability 
Architecture on Show 

Heidi Pronk and Neil Mackenzie of Mackenzie and Pronk Architects will discuss their Marrickville Medal-winning project ‘Ellerslie’— the partners’ own house in Marrickville overlooking the Cooks River. 
Christian Grennan of Kreis Grennan Architecture will speak about his Brick Aperture House in Petersham, a shortlisted finalist for the Sustainable Building Award.

Children's Book Week 
18-24 August 
We are celebrating Australian children's literature with an author talk, books at bedtime, storytime, and our annual drawing and writing competition. 

Enter our competition to win amazing book prizes.

Open to children in grades K-2

Writing competition 
Open to children in grades 3-6 
Write a short story about your most treasured item or memory 

The competitions close Friday, 10 August 2018. Presentation of prizes will be at Ashfield Library on Friday, 24 August, 4pm.

Book Week: Books at bedtime 
Join us for a family evening dress-up storytime. We will be reading titles from the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Book of the Year shortlist, and will vote for our favourites.
