TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

Inner West Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades, Percy Street, between Albion Street and Evans Street, Rozelle, on the 19 September 2022  to 22 September 2022 (contingency period of 2 weeks) to facilitate the installation of Sewer mains.

Norton Street ,Ashfield

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

Inner West Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades, Norton Street, between Victoria Street and Queen Street, Ashfield on the 10 August 2022 and a second day the following week within the hours of 7.00am-3.00pm.A contingency period of 4 weeks is permitted in case of programmed delay or wet weather. The closure is required to carry out maintenance work on the Ausgrid electrical network in Norton Street.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

Council intends to apply for consent (under the Roads Act 1993) to close, by the use of temporary barricades:

Norton Street from Marion Street to William Street; 

Marlborough Street from Norton Street to Cromwell Street;

Short Street from Norton Street to Balmain Road; 

Carlisle Street from Norton Street to Cromwell Street;

Allen Street from Cromwell Street to James Street;

Arthur Street from Allen Street to Short Street,

Macauley Street from Norton Street to Cromwell Street (eastbound lanes only) and ;

Wetherill Street from Norton Street to Balmain Road (eastbound lanes only) on Sunday 30 October 2022 from 3.00am – 9.00pm to facilitate Norton Street Italian Festa.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

Inner West Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades, Merton Street, between Darling Street and car park access (off National Lane), Rozelle from 25 July 2022 to 26 July 2022 and 03 August to 04 August 2022 (12pm to 12am) (contingency period two weeks) for 33kv power enabling trench works for Metro West.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

Inner West Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades, Norton Street, between Cromwell Street and Carshalton Street from the 18 July 2022 to 26 August 2022 between the hours of 7.00am-5.00pm Monday-Friday., 8.00am-1.00pm Saturday contingency period of 2 weeks is permitted in case of programmed delay or wet weather. The closure is required to carry out major watermain relocation and service pit construction for the watermain in Norton Street.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

Inner West Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades Henry Street, Sydenham between Railway Parade and George Street and Railway Lane, Sydenham between Henry Street and Hilton Avenue, between 9:00am and 10:00pm on Saturday 20 August 2022, for the purpose of holding the 'Edge' Sydenham 2022 event.

Markham Place, Ashfield

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Inner West Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades, Markham Place, Ashfield (between Cavill Avenue and The Esplanade) within the hours of 7.00am-5.00pm on Friday 29 July 2022.  A contingency period of 4 weeks (up to 26 August 2022) is permitted in case of programmed delay or wet weather. The closure is required to stand a mobile crane within the roadway and erect a tower crane to the development site 317-335 Liverpool Road, Ashfield.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Council intends to apply for consent (as per the Roads Act 1993) to close, by the use of temporary barricades, Smidmore Street, between Murray Street and the Smidmore Street car park access, Marrickville for a four day period 6am Saturday 8 September to midnight Monday 12 September 2022 and for a two day period 6am Saturday 10 December to midnight Sunday 11 December 2022 for the purpose of holding two different Marrickville Metro Shopping Centre events, the Fringe Festival and the second weekend December Markets.

Murrell Street into Liverpool Road, Ashfield

NO RIGHT TURN 8.00PM- 9.30PM., 2.30PM 4.00PM MON-FRI, SCHOOL DAYS

Council intends to apply for consent (as per the Roads Act 1993) to install a ‘No Right Turn’ restriction during school zone times (i.e. 8.00am-9.30am., 2.30pm-4.00pm Mon-Fri, School Days) for vehicles coming out of Murrell Street into Liverpool Road, Ashfield. The restriction will improve traffic safety and prevent congestion and the build- up of traffic in Murrell Street due to vehicles waiting long periods to turn right onto Liverpool Road during school drop off and pick up times.

Alternate travel (heading west) is available by turning left into Liverpool Road, right into Queen Street and right into Norton Street.

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades, Horton Street, Marrickville between Amy Street and Illawarra Road, on Saturday 29 October 2022 between 2.30 to 7.30pm for the purpose of holding a street party.

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades, West Street (off Croydon Road), Croydon for (4) days within the hours of 7.00am-5.30pm between Monday 23 May 2022 to Wednesday 22 June 2022. A contingency period is permitted leading up to the 22 June 2022 in case of programmed delay or wet weather. The closure is required to carry out repair/upgrade to a Telecommunications Tower at the end of West Street.

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades,  Centennial Street, between Sydenham Road  and Henson Park Gate Marrickville, from 10am to 8pm Saturday 9 April 2022, and Saturday 30 July 2022 ( contingency period of 4 weeks from each date) for the purpose of holding the 2022 Beer, Footy and Food Festival events.

Notice of approval of amendment of Leichhardt Development Control Plan 2013 - 1-5 Chester Street, Annandale

On Tuesday 9 February 2021, Council considered a report on the engagement outcomes of the proposed amendments to Leichhardt Local Environmental Plan 2013 (LLEP 2013) and Leichhardt Development Control Plan 2013 (LDCP 2013) for 1-5 Chester Street, Annandale. The purpose of LDCP 2013 amendment is to incorporate site-specific development controls to guide future development of this site in conjunction with LLEP 2013.

Council resolved to adopt the LDCP 2013 amendment subject to minor changes. This LDCP 2013 has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 and will come into effect on the date the associated LLEP 2013 amendment is published on the NSW legislation website.
