Temporary road closure notices

West Street, Croydon

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades, West Street (off Croydon Road), Croydon for (4) days within the hours of 7.00am-5.30pm between Monday 23 May 2022 to Wednesday 22 June 2022. A contingency period is permitted leading up to the 22 June 2022 in case of programmed delay or wet weather. The closure is required to carry out repair/upgrade to a Telecommunications Tower at the end of West Street.

Tobruk Avenue, Balmain

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades , Tobruk Avenue, Balmain ( between Ennis Street and Reynolds Street) from Monday 15 August 2022 to Thursday, 18 August 2022 at 11:00pm and Wednesday, 31 August 2022 from 8:00am to 11:00 pm to facilitate Street.  excavation works on site at No.56 Mullens Street, Balmain

Frederick Street, Petersham

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades ,Frederick Street. between Crystal Street and Church Street, Petersham, from 2:00pm to 12:000 am, Friday 10 June 2022 for the purpose of holding the 2022 "Celebrate Portugal " event.

Victoria Road, Marrickville

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades ,Victoria Road, Marrickville at the Rail overbridge between Charlotte Avenue and Meeks Street, for an eight (8) day period from Saturday 2 July  to Sunday 10 July 2022 in order to facilitate the Shutdown Rail Possession activities at the Victoria Road Bridge location, as part of  the Southwest Metro Upgrade Project works.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades, Norton Street (between Allen Street and Marion Street)  Leichhardt, between 8:00am to 10:00pm on Sunday , 12 June 2022, to facilitate the Sydney Street Party.

Lackey Street & Smith Street, Summer Hill

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades,Lackey Street(between Carlton Crescent and Smith Street) Summer Hill  and Smith Street (between Hardi Avenue and Nowranie Street) Summer Hill, between 8:00am to 10:00pm  on Saturday, 11 June, facilitate  the Sydney Street Party.

Shirlow Street , Marrickville

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades,  Shirlow Street, Marrickville towards Sydenham Road , for a 48-hour period from early am Saturday 7 May 2022 to late pm on Sunday 8 Mary 2022 (contingency period  two months) in order to relocate an existing power pole.

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades,  Victoria Road, Marrickville  at the Rail Overbridge between Charlotte Avenue and Meeks Street, for a 48-hour period from early am Saturday 7 May 2022 to late pm on Sunday 8 Mary 2022 (contingency period three months) in order to carry out Sydney Metro - City & Southwest  works along the rail corridor.

Centennial Street, Marrickville

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades,  Centennial Street, between Sydenham Road  and Henson Park Gate Marrickville, from 10am to 8pm Saturday 9 April 2022, and Saturday 30 July 2022 ( contingency period of 4 weeks from each date) for the purpose of holding the 2022 Beer, Footy and Food Festival events.

Smidmore Street, Marrickville

Council intends to apply for consent under the Roads Act 1993 to close, by the use of temporary barricades,  Smidmore Street, between Murray Street and the Smidmore Street Car park access, Marrickville  from 6am to Midnight Sunday, on the first weekend of each month throughout 2022 (contingency period to the end of 12 month trial period) for the purpose of hosting Marrickville metro Markets.

Notice of approval of amendment of Leichhardt Development Control Plan 2013 - 1-5 Chester Street, Annandale

On Tuesday 9 February 2021, Council considered a report on the engagement outcomes of the proposed amendments to Leichhardt Local Environmental Plan 2013 (LLEP 2013) and Leichhardt Development Control Plan 2013 (LDCP 2013) for 1-5 Chester Street, Annandale. The purpose of LDCP 2013 amendment is to incorporate site-specific development controls to guide future development of this site in conjunction with LLEP 2013.

Council resolved to adopt the LDCP 2013 amendment subject to minor changes. This LDCP 2013 has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 and will come into effect on the date the associated LLEP 2013 amendment is published on the NSW legislation website.
