Historical site study

Historical study sites offer a range of educational resources that Inner West Council is developing for secondary History teachers in conjunction with professional historians and archaeologists.

These enquiry-based site studies and the accompanying historical resources are designed for the NSW Years 7-10 History Syllabus and engages teachers with the Inner West Community History collection and archives.

It provides teachers all they require for an online site study as well as a site visit. The latter can be undertaken as a class or in the student’s own time.

The primary objective is to enable students to develop skills to analyse and use historical sources in order to undertake an historical inquiry and communicate their results with the focus on change over time.
