Ashfield Town Centre upgrade

Inner West Council is undertaking a substantial of the core area of the Ashfield town centre.

The core area comprises:

• Hercules Street
• The Esplanade
• Markham Place, and
• Brown Street

What will be upgraded?

The upgrade includes:

• Wider footpaths with new paving
• New energy efficient lighting installed on multi-function poles
• Street furniture including seats bins, bike racks and bubbler
• New trees and landscaping
• Removal of old bus shelters and construction of a new shelter in Brown Street
• New deck and elevated walkway along the Esplanade
