New Inner West Council business award

Council’s inaugural Ethical / Social Enterprise Award will be presented at the 2019 Inner West Business Awards.

The award recognises the efforts of businesses who improve the social and economic wellbeing of people in our community who are marginalised or disadvantaged. It focuses on the contribution of social and ethical enterprises to creating a better economy and a fairer community.

Council is committed to the provision of equal access and the development of a community which is inclusive of all of its residents, workers and visitors.

Council has again included a special Inner West Council’s Excellence in Access Award which recognises the efforts of those organisations and businesses in the Inner West local government area that have made their business inclusive of the whole community.

The Excellence in Access Award acknowledges initiatives from businesses that enable a person with a disability to access local services in an independent, welcoming and dignified manner.

Nominations for the awards are now open and close on Tuesday, 2 April.
