An all-new Marrickville Festival

The destination event of the Inner West, Marrickville Festival, is on Sunday, 20 October, 10am-5pm.

Attracting visitors from all over Sydney, the 2019 Marrickville Festival will showcase local makers and creatives who encapsulate the diversity and vibrancy that is Marrickville.

Music this year is programmed by much-loved local venues Lazybones and Gasoline Pony.

New Marrickville Festival features include:

The Locals Market curated by Cornersmith Cafe & Picklery

Local producers who will celebrate food and share their skills are:

• Vannella Cheese, who specialise in buffalo mozzarella made from fresh buffalo milk from Cairns will demonstrate how to make cheese

• Ethical butcher Feather and Bone will demonstrate how to make sausage

• Local waste warrior Kristy Mootz of Parva cosmetics will demonstrate how to make beeswax wraps

• Cornersmith will host pickling workshops

• The Village Wholefoods will show how to make better food and packaging choices

Art and Design Alley curated by Hypmotive Hub

A creative world of contemporary and traditional visual arts, including:

• Traditional wheel thrown ceramics

• Screen printing

• Interactive art workshops for kids facilitated by skilled local artists

Little Marrickville - Marrickville Metro designated kids area, with Circus Playground, giant games by Reverse Garbage and a kids colouring-in station run by Sweets Workshop

Beers at the Ville in Calvert Street carpark with local brewers Willie the Boatman, Batch Brewing Co, Sauce Brewing Co, Philter Brewing, Stockade, Young Henry’s Brewing Co, Wayward Brewing Co, Bucket Boys, The Grifter Brewing Co and a spritz bar by The Ritz.

Street Paws mini festival-in-a-festival, featuring pet catered stalls from educational and training advice to grooming.
