Friday 11 August 2017
Inner West Council’s footprints ecofestival this year features the Green Living Centre’s mobile waste-free kitchen.
footprints ecofestival is on Sunday 27 August from 11am-3pm at Annandale’s White’s Creek Valley Park. Visitors to the festival can learn how to set up and maintain a low waste kitchen at home.
The Green Living Centre partners with Food Fix, Compost Collective and other Inner West Council projects to give residents information on using up leftovers, making food last longer, recycling correctly, avoiding plastic, worm farming, and composting.
Demonstrations at the 'Waste-free Kitchen' stall on the day include:
• Harvesting worm farms
• Top tips to avoid food waste
• How to make sauerkraut
• How to make beeswax wraps
