A NSW Government motorway project linking the M4, M8, and Rozelle Interchange constructed with the intent of improving Sydney traffic, with Council representing local interests of the Inner West.

About WestConnex

WestConnex is a NSW Government infrastructure project, including major motorway links such as the M4, M8, and Rozelle Interchange. These projects aim to improve traffic flow across Sydney. Inner West Council does not deliver or operate WestConnex but has advocated for local impacts and improvements.

Current status

All major stages of WestConnex are now open to traffic, including the Rozelle Interchange, as of November 2023. The network is operated by Transurban under the Sydney Transport Partners consortium.
