The outdoor 50m and dive pool are now closed as part of Stage 2 construction works.
The centre remains open, with most services relocated or operating differently. We’re providing alternative options at our other centres to support our customers. Visit our project page for more information.

Ashfield Aquatic Centre temporary gym closure
From Monday 31 August, the gym at Ashfield Aquatic Centre (AAC) will temporarily close for new equipment to be installed. The closure is expected to last approximately two weeks.
During the closure, customers can access to the gyms and Group Fitness classes at Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre and Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre.
Aqua classes will still be running at AAC, as well as outdoor Fit30 classes. Visit our group fitness timetables page to view the temporary AAC group fitness timetable during the closure period.

We offer programs and facilities for every stage of your fitness journey. Our three major centres are open year‑round and include gyms, pools, and crèches. Spa, steam, and sauna facilities are available exclusively at Ashfield Aquatic Centre. Two seasonal venues and a waterplay park operate during summer for outdoor swimming and recreation.
Programs include Learn to Swim classes, squad training, over 300 weekly group fitness classes, personal training and specialised wellbeing activities. Whether you’re a lap swimmer, a family looking for a fun day out, or just want to stay active and connected, Inner West Aquatics and Recreation have a space for you.
